Day 1 – Biblical, Romans and Crusaders

  • Enjoy a Biblical start Joppa (Jaffa): here was the house of Simon the Tanner (Apostles 10: 9-16) and the place of the Miracle of the Resurrection of Tabita (Apostles 9: 36-43), After a short drive through Tel Aviv - Israel’s modern metropolis and commercial capital, travel north through the Sharon plain.

  • We stop at Caesarea Maritima, was built by King Herod the Great on the site of an old town called "Strato's Tower." Caesarea is important in Christian history for being the place where the first Gentile was converted to Christianity. Visit: the spectacular Roman Theater and port, Herod’s Palace, the Palace of the Roman Procurator (Apostles 23: 23 and Apostles 26: 23 – Paul; Apostles 10: 20-48 – Peter and Cornelius), the Amphitheater and the Crusaders’ City and Harbor.

  • Overnight: Nazareth for 3 nights

Day 2 – Biblical Adventures and Jesus' Miracles

  • Nazareth is famous as the site of the Great Miracle of the Announcement visiting the Basilica of Annunciation Church, ”the announcement of the Angel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary of the approaching virgin birth. Visit the Church of Saint Joseph the Carpenter.

  • Visiting Mary’s Well & Springs and Saint Gabriel Church.

  • Proceed to visit Cana village is famous for being the site of Jesus First Miracle, the transformation of water into wine at a wedding feast.

  • To Tiberias having a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus walked on the water (Matthew 14: 22-23). The ride will end at Nof Ginossar, is a Kibbutz housing the preserved remains of ancient boat from the time of Jesus, discovered in 1986 after sinking nearly 2000 years ago.

  • Drive to the Mount of Beatitudes is a breathtaking site overlooking the northern shores of the Sea of Galilee. This is where Jesus gave his “Sermon on the Mount” (Matthew 5). We shall visit the spectacular heptagonal Church of Beatitudes was built on the shore by the Italian architect Berluzzi.

  • Proceed to Tabgha, not far from Capernaum, is the site of the Church of the Multiplication, visit the Church of the Multiplication of Loaves and Fishes (Matthew 14: 14-34). “Jesus then took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated; so also the fish, as much as they wanted” (John 6: 11).

  • Driving along the Northern shores of the Sea of Galilee we shall reach Capernaum, situated on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. Capernaum is mentioned several times in the Gospels, as the scene of many miracles and sermons, the town of Jesus where he lived in Saint Peter’s House, performing from there his miracles and healings (Matthew 4: 13, Matthew 8: 14-15). We’ll stop at the site of an Ancient Synagogue where Jesus had preached to the local community. A fascinating pilgrimage sites.

  • Driving through the Golan Heights where the crucial battles of the Six Day War were fought in 1967, we will look down on Israel from the heights as did the Syrian army, before they were routed and the Golan Heights fell into Israeli hands.

  • Then go to Banias, Caesarea Philippi, at the foot of Mount Hermon, where Jesus gave Saint Peter the Keys of the Kingdom of Heaven: "And I say to you, that you are Peter and on this stone I will build My Church and the gates of hell." they will not overcome it. And I will give unto you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed also in heaven ”(Matthew 16: 18-19). Also, Banias is one of the main water sources of the Jordan River.

Day 3 – More Galilee, Dead Sea, to Bethlehem

  • Drive to the Southern part of the Sea of Galilee to visit the Yardenit Baptismal site where Baptism shall be held for all interested in the place where John the Baptist baptized Jesus.

  • South to the Dead Sea to the salty water of the lowest point on Earth, and mentioned several times in the Old Testament, is not only a must to visit for its Biblical connections, but also for the unusual landscape of salt crystals spread along its shores.

Day 4 – Holy Jerusalem Old City

  • Ascend the Mount of Olives for a breathtaking panoramic view of the Old City of Jerusalem with the Temple Mount. The Mount of Olives is a sacred place for both Jews and Christians. “And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives” (Matthew 26:30). Walking down the Mount of Olives, we shall reach the Church of Dominus Flevit (Our Lord weeping): “And when he drew near and saw the city he wept over it…” (Luke 19:41). Proceed to the Garden of Gethsemane, the place where Jesus spent his last hours praying before he was arrested "Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane and said to the disciples," Sit here until I will go there and I'll pray "(Matthew 26: 36-58), to see the old olive trees and visit the Basilica of the Agony, also called the Church of All Nations, home to some magnificent mosaics depicting the Agony of Jesus. According to tradition, the Rock of Agony lies inside the Church.

  • Driving through the Kidron Valley, we shall enter the Old City of Jerusalem to visit the Western Wall (Wailing Wall) – the holiest place for the Jews in the world.

  • Walk a part of the Via Dolorosa, via the exotic bazaar, and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.

  • Visit the Garden Tomb.

  • Proceed through the newly rebuilt Jewish Quarter and the 1st century Roman Cardo to Mount Zion, Visit the traditional Tomb of Levy, also we’ll spend time in the "Room of the Last Supper", praying to Jesus and imagining the Passover meal that the disciples all partook in. “… he took bread, and when he had given thanks he broke it and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me." And likewise the cup after supper, saying, "This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood” (Luke 22:19-20).

Day 5 & 6 – Jerusalem New City, Bethlehem Where the Story Began… The Dead Sea

  • Drive to the spectacular Model of Jerusalem as it was at the time of the Second Temple in Jesus time and see the views that He would have seen whenever He came to Jerusalem to celebrate the Sabbath or the Easter.

  • Proceed to Yad Vashem, the Memorial to the victims of the Holocaust.

  • Drive to the Israel Museum with its Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea scrolls are kept.

  • See the Knesset (the Israeli Parliament) and the Supreme Court.

  • Proceed to Bethlehem the Birth Place of Jesus, has been a prime destination for Christian pilgrims for centuries to visit the Church of the Nativity (Luke 2: 1-7). on Manger Square, built over the Milk Grotto where Jesus was born.

Day 7 - Departure to Ben Gurion Airport for international flight back home

When a priest accompanies the group, private masses can be arranged by request. These should be booked in advance and can be held Monday-Saturday (subject to space) at the following sites:

· Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem

· Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem

· Church of the Visitation in Ein Karem

If a group arrives without a priest, they can participate in regular Masses in English on Sundays. Some places also conduct Mass in the afternoons during the week.
